Join us as we read together in a 3-week Bible Reading Plan that starts Monday, March 18th and continues through the the first week of April.
In this reading plan, we will read through the book of Psalms. This book is one of the poetry books of the Bible. It is filled with words of personal reflection on the character and attributes of God, as well as words of deep sorry and lament for the position in which the writer finds themselves.
Many of the Psalms were written by King David. He was a man who had a deep personal connection with God and expressed his feelings through poetry. Psalm 34:19-22 says,
"19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous,
But the Lord delivers him out of them all.
20 He keeps all his bones,
Not one of them is broken.
21 Evil shall slay the wicked,
And those who hate the righteous will be condemned.
22 The Lord redeems the soul of His servants,
And none of those who take refuge in Him will be condemned."
As you read, we hope that you will find words that express your relationship with God at the moment. You will see that the book of Psalms is filled with many different emotions.
There are 5 readings each week, starting on Monday. Use the weekends to rest or catch up.
Each reading is a couple of chapters in length and should take about 10 minutes or so to complete. Check off each box as you finish the passage.
